Abstract
The 1988 French law protecting persons undergoing biomedical research made the hospital pharmacist a key player in clinical trials. He must be informed of every clinical trial and is responsible for storing and dispensing medical products, substances, or drugs for clinical trials. Although this law clarified the pharmacist's role, many pharmaceutical companies and others involved with clinical trials don't recognize the importance of the pharmacist and place obstacles in his path.
