Abstract
Remote Data Entry (RDE) was initially conceived and utilized as an aid to assist data processing operations and this is still today and for tomorrow, an essential component of RDE in the collection of clinical data. The current availability of commercial and in-house developed user-friendly programs together with the ability of interactive communications between the investigator, the program, the clinical monitor's office, and main frame operations also enhance the ability to monitor clinical studies.
