Abstract
A comprehensive in-house training program for new clinical research personnel is presented. The program was developed by a corporate clinical education committee and uses a faculty of in-house experts from clinical research and a variety of research-associated support groups. Over a 16-day period involving 65 hours of classroom time, students receive instruction in regulatory affairs, clinical supplies, design and conduct of clinical trials, and the function of clinical research support groups. A continual course evaluation process in which students and faculty participate allows for modification of course content to react to the changing environment of pharmaceutical research.
