Abstract
Actual aspects from the daily work of an international adverse drug reaction documentation program are presented in this article. Difficulties arising from heterogeneous data sources with regard to language and patient data are discussed with an explanation as to the solutions employed by the company. Positive aspects of the adverse drug reaction (ADR) coding dictionary and the need for a Secretariat again in relation to heterogeneity and large masses of data will be discussed as well.
