Abstract
The Food and Drug Administration Drug and Biologic Adverse Reaction Information System has been redesigned and implemented using an on-line, interactive relational data base management system (ORACLE). The previous system could only be accessed by a batch processing system and was relatively inaccessible to the professional staff of the agency. The on-line database includes a highly customized interactive data entry module and an interactive search and reporting capability that can be used by agency professionals.
