Lukens, Howard I. has written his doctoral dissertation on the co-production effort as it pertains to the U.S. helicopter industry. His work, "Co-Production Within the United States Helicopter Industry," The George Washington University, February 1975, is directed towards the examination in detail of the various macro- and micro-factors which affect the use of co-production in a realistic environment. A student of the military use of co-production would do well to review this noteworthy effort.
