In this article María Pilar Aquino presents some of the characteristics of a feminist theology of liberation which seeks to respond to the questions and challenges which confront Latinas in the United States. For these women, the theological task represents a collective struggle for the attainment of life, their own human integrity, and their being recognized as subjects in their own right in church and society.
