No missiological theme is of greater importance than the relation between church and state. Because situations vary greatly from country to country, church leaders need exposure to representative contemporary case studies such as Professor Kang's essay provides. Indeed, his descriptive analysis of the growing tension between the Korean government and the Christian community is an excellent contribution to our understanding of the demands God is making of his people in our day.
