Missionary Activity as Perceived by the Kikuyu of Kenya

Abstract

Radical-reflexive sociology gives us an important tool since it allows us to examine how we are perceived by a recipient culture. Dr. Bottignole here uses these techniques to explore the way the Kikuyu of Kenya reacted to the missionary activity which began around the turn of this century in what now constitutes the Nyeri diocese.
