How about “gospelization” as a synonym? This is just one idea Sister Hendricks wrestles with as she searches for a current, relevant understanding of evangelization — something more than a definition. She deals positively and decisively with evangelization in context, in holistic terms, in relation to theology of mission and in terms of understanding salvation. We must be the Gospel and do the Gospel (incarnation and diakonia). Yet evangelization is, at its core, “the communication of our faith experience.” Don't miss her concluding challenge to all those engaged in missionary outreach.
