Professor Kalu presses us to take a fresh look at the ethical issues hiding behind the complexity of all patterns of change — political, economic and social — taking place in country after country in Africa today. He calls us to face realistically, yet with the buoyancy of faith, the part that biblical perspectives play in subduing our hubris and enabling us to understand the “vulnerability” of man and the limitations of even his best efforts to perfect human society.
