Abstract
This anecdote illustrates the fact that what a person believes affects him equally whether or not it is empirically “real”. When a man believes in the factual reality and maleficent intent of what he sees in a dream, the wise Christian, whatever his own beliefs, will respect and take seriously that man's beliefs.
