Abstract
The authors bring out from their own experience the tension that exists between the need for men to respect one another's beliefs and the imperative of the Christian mission to evangelize non-Christians. Non-Christians see ulterior motives in Christians' offers of dialogue. Hindus also feel that Christians are interested in dialogue only at a superficial, intellectual level, rather than in mutually sharing deep spiritual insights.
