Abstract
This missiological study of the interaction between the Apostle Peter and the Roman Centurion Cornelius in Acts 10 demonstrates that missionaries need two conversions. The first conversion is a spiritual conversion to Christ to combat our egocentrism. The second conversion is to cross-cultural understanding and awareness to cleanse us of our ethnocentrism. Peter had to undergo a cross-cultural conversion to combat his ethnocentrism against Gentiles before he was able to lead Cornelius and his entire household to faith in Christ.
