Abstract
Out of the convergence of psychology and anthropology, for success in the international business community, has come the idea of cultural intelligence. What are the implications of this for missiology? Reflective intelligence refers to cognitive abilities for problem solving. When this cognitive aspect of intelligence crosses into the social and cultural domains of unraveling problems in intercultural settings with competence and relevance, it is called cultural intelligence. Sternberg's components of reflective intelligence are combined here with appropriate resources to give us a model of cultural intelligence for interaction and problem solving in the cross-cultural endeavor of missions. With training, missionaries can increase their aptitudes and hone their skills to employ this CQ in the challenging world of holistic mission.
