Abstract
The author replies to the responses by Gangel and Rooker, Pike, and Larzelere concerning “Abolishing the Rod” in this issue of the Journal. The desire is expressed that the article and responses will stimulate a reevaluation of the role of corporal punishment in the nurture of youth.
