This study investigated the status of counseling courses and faculty in the curriculum of accredited protestant seminaries in the United States. The study investigated courses, faculty, and curriculum during the period from 1965–1980. Results show that counseling courses and counseling faculty have more than doubled in the past fifteen years whereas the number of students in seminaries has increased by approximately one-third during the same period.
