A survey directed at 135 community college presidents in 1991 elicited details about how their colleges were organized five years prior to 1991 and in 1991, as well as their preferred organizational structures for the future. The authors report variations in structure by three college size categories (enrollment levels) based on responses from 118 presidents and indicate notable variations and trends in organizational structure.
