Abstract
A descriptive epidemiological study was conducted to: (1) describe patterns of alcohol-related injury observed in two emergency departments (EDs) in Kingston, Ontario, and (2) discuss limitations inherent to the collection of these data. The study examined all persons presenting for injury treatment where alcohol was indicated as being involved. In total, 1,970 alcohol-related injuries were identified for the years 1994-1996.
