The most important of many journals publishing this work is the annual Istorikomatematicheskie issledovaniya, which began publication under the editorship of Yushkevich and G. F. Rybkin in 1948. Besides many book-length monographs on particular men, topics and institutions, there is the four-volume Istoriya otechestvennoi matematiki, of which Yushkevich is an assistant editor and whose first two volumes, published in 1966 and 1967, cover the pre-revolutionary period.
