The concept of quality of life has gained significance in aging due to the need for integrated approach towards understanding the aged. For this purpose, 580 individuals from Tamil Nadu state were interviewed. Four dimensions of quality of life were assessed, namely-economic well-being, physical well-being, psychological well-being and social well-being by administering various psychological tools. The data was subjected to factor analysis. The results provide a comprehensive understanding of elderly and carries various implications for research and policy making.
