Abstract
Transgender community has always been overlooked by mainstream society. The binary construct of gender has led to the social exclusion of this community, subjecting its members to various kinds of discrimination and oppression. Social support has been considered an important factor in promoting the well-being of trans-individuals. This article, therefore, aims to depict the role of social support and structural factors in affecting the lives of such individuals. The findings bring out the critical role of familial support in influencing their well-being and that it is directly linked to satisfaction in their lives. Suggestions, based on the findings, are provided for their empowerment.
