This article analyzes the relationship between the characteristics of modem society and those of the tourism industry, and the resultant impact on the work environment of the unskilled and semi-skilled workers in the tourism industry. Several solutions are sug gested to rectify the situation and improve labor efficiency and job satisfaction.
