Abstract
The 1981 PATA Travel Research Conference was held November 16-19 at the Ambassador Hotel, Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China. Over 150 delegates from 20 countries attended the conference. During the three and half days in Taipei, delegates were treated to an interesting variety of addresses on a wide range of topics. In addition there were a number of workshops and field trips. Thanks to the Host Committee, delegates were able to visit leading tourism attractions in Northern Taiwan and participate in a busy social program with functions at many of Taipei's top international hotels. Highlights of the conference are presented below.
