Abstract
The National Outdoor Recreation Trends Symposium was held April 20-23 in Durham, New Hampshire. Over 180 delegates met to (1) answer questions about outdoor recreation trends, (2) determine how to find and use trend data, (3) discuss the emerging trends in government and industry, and (4) discuss what trend implica tions hold for the future. Volume I of the Proceedings (the General Session Papers) was available at the symposium and greatly facilitated study and discussion. A sec ond and third volume of Proceedings will be printed later in the year. This three- volume set will provide the most comprehensive assessment of outdoor recreation trends ever compiled.
