Abstract
There are many ways of viewing jobs and the impact of travel on jobs. This paper focuses on and explores some of the ramifications relating to estimating non-resident recreation/travel impact on jobs. Non-resident impact is defined as the recreation/traveler impact occurring in a county by a person that lives outside of the county. The average-month method of job estimating appears to provide the best opportunity for evaluating job impact, since recreation/travel is a highly seasonal business.
