Abstract
“Pirsig [Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance] rightly points out the evil fruits of the bifurcation between technology and values in our culture; and, as he says, the solution lies neither in just more technology nor in a Romantic rejection of technology. Somehow, we need to put things back together again… What we need is a way of understanding the world that preserves both the structure of intelligibility and the objectivity of values.”
