Abstract
“The maternal matrix of pre-verbal times, from which we receive the substances of life, food, personal warmth, nourishment of our senses, is the archetype of God's tender, patient giving of himself for the deepest needs of creaturehood. The oral stage and the eucharistic feast are profound reminders that we are creatures whose very existence is in providers, human and cosmic, the incorporation of, and identification with whom, are life to us.”
