Abstract
Will Marian devotion, especially of Guadalupe, lead to conflict between Catholics and Protestants in the United States as more and more Latinos and Latinas immigrate here, many bringing their Guadalupe adoration with them? Or could it possibly lead to a rapprochement between the two branches of Christianity? Some see Guadalupe as a barrier between Catholic and Protestant forms of Christianity; the author sees her as a bridge. In order to answer this larger question, she begins with a smaller question that is actually more important to her: Does Guadalupe have anything to offer a Protestant, ecofeminist theology?
