Abstract
This essay argues that the churches should abandon their current role in administering state marriage legislation and instead focus on how through prayers of blessing they might encourage and celebrate in a truly inclusive way all forms of human relationship (sexual or otherwise) that can lead to the development and flourishing of human beings.
