The relationship between yarn color and carpet color is investigated, so that carpet color can be predicted starting from yarn color. In order to realize this, first the colors in the yarn and the carpet have to be analyzed to determine the relation between them. The results of the study present a serious first step toward a method to predict carpet color starting from yarn color.
