Abstract
A new process called Coverspun R, recently patented by the Leesona Corporation, is described. The fundamental yarn formation concept, employing a wrapping of fine denier continuous filament around untwisted staple fiber, produces an integrated multicomponent yarn. The process flow, hardware needed, process usefulness, and comparison with other processes and products are elucidated.
