Two methods were used to size cotton yarns. The ingredients used in the first method were corn starch, Nordux, and fats. In the second method the ingredients used were: corn starch, Nordux, Tylose, and Trifix. In each case two levels for each ingredient were used. Factorial experiments were used to assess the effect of each treatment condition on the single strength and percentage elongation of the sized cotton yarns.
