Abstract
Two methods of analysis of fiber composition is a cross section of hlended yarns are presented. One is based on the observation of cross sections of yarn in the microscope, and the second is based on the separation of fibers going through the cross section of the yarn, then counting the total number of fibers in the cross section, dissolving of fibers of one com ponent, and then counting the remaining fibers. To analyze which of the components influences more the blend irregu larity, the.use of Huberty's coefficient for both components is proposed. The coefficient of correlation between the num bers of fibers of both components can offer insight into the irregularity of local composition of blended yarns.
