By the application of composite three-variahle rotatahle designs, and with the aid of mini computers, the main proper ties of staple viscose rotor yarns from four lots of raw material with identical "commercial". characteristics were studied; it is shown that the differences in the technical properties of the fibers influence the results of the spinning trials. The optimum spinning conditions are different for each lot, in spite of the hypothetical "commercial" identity, and they can be established by the application of the said designs.
