The dyestuff fixation of cellulosic prints by normal steaming was optimized to find the best conditions. The dyestuffs used were Drimarene Blue, Red-R4BL, Yellow-R3GL, Cibacron Pront Blue 3R, Red G, and Yellow 4G. Factorial experiments were used to assess the effect of each treatment condition. The objective of this work was to find the best conditions that will require the least amount of imported materials, thereby reducing costs.
