Abstract
Since a rope-form fabric is occasionally twisted during processing treatments such as washing, scouring, and dyeing, it is necessary to untwist the fabric in later processing to stretch the fabric. Theoretically, the amount and direction of twist are constant; actually, however, they are not constant in most cases, so a correcting device on the twisted fabric is necessary. The authors discuss the reasons for fabric twisting and the value of the correcting device.
