The concept of inducing stress-relaxation in strained wool fibers by changing the temperature at constant humidity has been used to develop the basis of a new wrinkle-recovery test specific for wool and wool-containing fabrics. The test is potentially simple and inexpensive, yet capable of ranking fabrics in the same order as more sophisticated research methods.
