A small-scale spinning test for cottons may be used for blends with synthetics by allowance for the respective differences in fiber length. The methodology developed shows that from the yarn strength of the respective fibers, yarn strength of the blends at optimum twist may be estimated through use of a measured noncooperation factor Φ and a simple trigono metric relation.
