Abstract
This paper reviews the literature on the microbiological deterioration of woolen textiles; it lists wool-destroying micro-organisms, describes the factors governing their growth and activity on wool, and discusses the mode of attack by micro-organisms on wool. Also, the methods developed for prevention of deterioration of woolen textiles by micro-organisms are described.
