This paper reports on the stress relaxation of wool fibers at 96°C at low extensions (<1%) in various solutions and compared the data with the stress relaxation at extensions in the yield region (2-30%). From these results, a clearer picture was formed of the mechanism controlling set in the Hookean region compared with the yield region.
