Abstract
The cohesion of twisted stivers, expressed as minimum twist of cohesion, was studied. and the concurrent operating conditions in the roving frame were established in order to determine the coefficient of minimum twist of cohesion as a function of length and roving tension as well as of other fiber characteristics. A comparison was made of the properties of a yarn spun from rovings having minimum twist of cohesion with others for which the roving twist was within practical spinning range.
