The influence of twist on yarn cohesion, expressed either as minimum twist of cohesion or as residual twist, is studied. Experiments on experimental yarns show that the minimum twist of cohesion expressed as a coefficient is pratically a constant, independent of both count and twist, being only dependent on fiber properties and testing conditions (applied tension and test length).
