Abstract
Statistical implications of the index of blend irregularity have been elaborated, with consequent improved utility of this measure.
A more complete characterization of within-section blend distribution is now possible by two new techniques developed.
Some new light is shed on the characteristics of fiber clustering and blend irregularity within the sections of woolen wool-nylon yarn.
