Abstract
Three types of acetal cellulose reactants are discussed. Two are in commercial use and one is in the development stage. A general description of the nature of their re actions with cellulose is followed by an analysis of the data obtained from the laboratory evaluations of mill processed fabrics.
The acetal cellulose reactants are a group of materials which produce non-chlorine retentive dimensional control and a wide variety of hand effects including softness, permanent stiffness, and a range of crease resistances.
