This is the second paper in this series reporting experiments on representative moisture meters. It discusses the effect on their calibration of temperature, heating history, wool type and dye, and presents basic types of curves for cotton sliver and acetate staple. All variables affect the calibration sufficiently to require separate curves for each new condition if high precision is to be maintained.
