The strength values of 10 fabrics, determined by the grab and raveled-strip methods and measured with the new Scott 2-inch fabric clamp and the standard 1-inch fabric clamp, were studied.
It was found that the 2-inch fabric clamp did not give more accurate results although the number of jaw breaks was reduced 30 percent.
