Abstract
The Synthetic Fibers Team of the Technical Industrial Intelligence Corps, to gether with a team from the United Kingdom, in the summer of 1945 searched the synthetic fiber and film factories of Germany, Austria, Holland, and Italy for all information which might be of assistance to our industry.
The findings of the combined American and British teams are contained in an official report, soon to be published under the title at the head of this article.* This report contains a 54-page summary which is intended for the reader who wishes to get only the general picture.
That portion of this summary which is of the broadest general interest is contained in this article and in one which will appear in the May issue of TEXTILE RESEARCH JOURNAL.
