Abstract
At the recent fall, 1943, meeting of Committee D-13 of the American So ciety for Testing Materials, it was de cided by Subcommittee B-2 on Nomen clature and Definition to place before the Textile Industry for its considera tion a proposal for a universal yarn, numbering system. The January issue of TEXTILE RESEARCH carried a digest of the first of a series of papers by A. G. Scroggie, chairman of Subcom mittee B-2, discussing the "Grex" unit. The following article gives fur ther pertinent information and deals particularly with the adoption of the unit in mills operating on other systems.
