The Grex Universal Numbering System

Abstract

At the recent fall meeting of Commit tee D-13 of the American Society for Testing Materials, it was decided by Subcommittee B-2 on Nomenclature and Definitions to place before the Tex tile Industry for its consideration a proposal for a universal yarn number ing system. The following is a digest of an article by A. G. Scroggie which explains the proposed system, outlines the need for such a system, names its advantages, and suggests methods for facilitating its adoption and use.
